Hi all,

When I do a select on my table, using certain criteria, I get an error message saying "Not a valid bookmark".
When I open the table directly, it opens fine, but then if I scroll down the table, I get a brief look at rows where #Error# is printed across each row, in every cell. Access then shuts down.
I am unable to compact and repair the DB. I have also tried to export teh contents of the table to Excel or notepad, but to no avail.

Has anyone ever come across this? Any solutions or ideas out there? Perhaps an external Access repairing tool?

Thanks for any help,
Robin

These strange Error lines sound familiar:
I encountered something similar recently, where 5 of about 11000 entries contained hieroglyphs instead of the article-Id.
I was unable to repair it in the frontend. Acces would always crash. So I ended up
- opening the backend-db,
- setting up a brand new table,
- opening the old one in design view,
- copying all field definitions over to the new table and saving it,
- copying all records except for the corrupt ones into the new table
- deleting the old table
- renaming the new table to the same name the old had.

I also had to re-assign the joins though, but it had solved the problem.

Hope this helps (and hope you don#t have as much joins as I had...) ;-)
