Data Collector

Currently I have a setup of 2 citrix server farm. The first Citrix server is also the data collector. I know that if this server becomes unavailable, there's an election of a second data collector. Is it possible, recommanded or even possible to have the data collector moved to a third non citrix server ? I've already moved the data store.

No I am pretty sure the data collectors must be Citrix boxes.
