Data Collection

I was planning on building a site in which I create a phone/contact directory in which the data is collected but is not available for public viewing.
The data will be (basically) Name, Nickname, phone number, address, etc. (in all about 20 fields).
Could someone please help?

You'll need some kind of server side scripting to process the data and save it to your data file or database. A simple page with a form and text inputs to allow someone to enter all the relevant information, with error checking to make sure it's as accurate as possible, should suffice. Submit the page to your page with the server-side scripting and then display a thank you on the page after the data is processed. The scripting language you use depends on what's available on the server you have hosting the website.
