In looking at the data cleansing functions in INFA 7.1, I came across the METAPHONE & SOUNDEX functions. I know that these are used to encode the data; however, I was wondering if anyone had used these functions before and if they could provide any insight on how to effectively use them to cleanse data. Any advice would be greatly appreciated, thank you!
