I have seen dirrerent speed Data Circuits, 56k, 64k, 256k Etc at all of them seem to have different Manual Loop Back Plugs, is there a referance somewhere that would say 56k's manual loop backs X & Y, 64k's at A & B. in Short a "cheat sheet" for the Different Speeds as I din't really Have a T-Berd to check it myself

OK, 56K is a specific circuit that uses pins 1,2,7 & 8. Pin a jack out with pins 1 & 7 connected, and Pins 2 & 8 connected.

For 64K, 256, etc, these are all fractional T1's, and use pins 1,2,4 & 5. Here, you pin 1 & 4 together, and 2 & 5 together.

Hope this helps,

Scott M.

P.S. here is a good Cisco site that talks about loopback plugs:

64 and below are analog and use pins 1 2, 7 and 8.. above that is a fractional t1 and uses pinc 1 2 and 4 and 5.. look at cisco training manuals for layer 1 on stuff like that. it's the only place i've found the documentation
