Data base setup

Hi all,

Am setting up database setup and on trying to connect to the data base it gives me the error 'Unable to connect to the data base(error=99)'but the ODBC is connecting

OS Windows server 2008 64 bit
version 5.6
Database oracle 11G

Is their a compatibility issue with 11g because when i use 10G
with the above setting but 32 bit picks.

Use ODBCAD32 in ..\SysWOW64.

I have run the above but on trying to create a dsn and choosing the oracle driver its giving an error at the point of chosing the oracle driver

'The oracle (tm) client and networking components were not found.These components are supplied by oracle corporation and are part of the oracle version 7.3(or greater)client software installation.You will be unable to use this driver until these components have been installed,

Sounds like you need newer drivers.

I uninstalled oracle 11g 64 bit and installed oracle 11g 32 bit and it has worked fine.

My question is is Accpac compatible with oracle11g 64 bit?

I guess not. It's a 32-bit app.
