Hey all,

We're using Access 2000 on Win NT 4.0 network with 12 users. Backup has been a HUGE problem for them and me. Manual backups work fine no problems just drag and drop. My end users want to schedule a backups 5 minutes after knock off shift work. Any ideas at all? I am at a loss and my end users as bugging the living heck out of me. Please Help

Chubby thanks...

What I have done is use a macro program. There are a bunch of them out for little or no cost as shareware.

Record the macro steps to drag and drop the file to back it up. Then use a sheduler program ( I have used 12 ghosts before that works well) to execute your macro and the same time each day.

Your probably talking under $50 for the whole thing.

Hope this helps.

Hi: we have a similar problem but on Access 97. The easiest and cheapest shareware product with a backup scheduler I've located so far is CopyRite from GreenTree Technologies, Inc (
