Data Architecture on the iSeries

I'm being asked to document an iSeries application and one of the documents required is the Data Architecture of of the iSeries Application. Also, what is the difference between an Application Flow diagram and a Data Flow diagram. This is my first time creating these documents and my previous applications did not have such documentations.
