Hi everyone!

I have a question. I designed a voice over wireless network with data traffic support. We created 2 different SSIDs. One for data users and one for voice users. Data users can access the internet over that SSID with WEB authentication, and voice users' wireless phones are using another SSID to connect to the voice network to make phone calls. We assigned the data to radio a on the access points and assigned the b/g to the voice traffic.(We are using nortel stuff--> "2380 security switches" and "trapeze access points" and "Nortel 2245 for QoS" etc,

customers have been having some problems with the data side since they dont have wireless cards with radio a capability. They asked us is it is possible to use the b radio for data as well within the network..

Is this possible? using radio b/g for both voice and data?
beucase with seperate SSID and radio configuration for data and voice, it is very easy to seperate the scopes and security and channel assignmets for preventing congestion etc. How can we run such a configuration ?

thanks in advance

I dont know why you couldnt... you are doing vlans with different ssids. I'm assuming you are using IP phones.. then its all really IP and the APs wouldnt know the diff.
