Afternoon,

i work for the NHS and we are going to start providing IT services to another Trust, which means migrating their user accounts, mailboxes, and data (along with permissions and security groups to our domain)

I have done migrations like this before but have always been able to create a trust between the domains and use microsoft migration tool and robocopy for bringing things across.

The Trust we are taking over do not have a network connection to use, so we wont be able to create a trust between the domain.

We are thinking of using xmerge to export their mailboxes so we can import them into our exchange.

thinking of using robocopy to copy their data and permissions onto a portable HDD and then use robocopy again from this onto our SAN.

We are not so sure on how we would migrate the security groups, as these will be needed to access the data. Is there a tool that will export security groups including all of its members?

Any other ideas on how this could be done?

Thanks in advance.
