Data Access Page Problems

I have created a Data Access Page and published it to an IIS web site. I have absolutely no problems connecting to and using it as long as I am doing that on a machine that is INSIDE the LAN. The website is however also accessible from the internet. When I bring up the page from a client outside the LAN the browser spits out the error that it can not find the file C:\...bla...bla...mdb

Can somebody, anybody, tell me what is wrong here? I have done everything but tear my hair out (that's going next if I can't get it in the next day).

I dont claim to be a Data Access Page expert. U can find my query on how to get Data Access Pages working over the internet in this site itself. But i have come a long way from the error u have got. Now my problem is that i am not getting an error and am unable to connect to database over internet.
Leave that, to solve your problem...open the Data Access Page in Design View. Right click to bring up properties page. Look for the "UseRemoteProvider" property and set it to "True". If u are using Access 2002 (XP) then u should get it under the "Data" page.

WARNING: Setting this will prevent connecting to the page thru LAN using the say \\machineName\yourFolder\dataPage.htm address.

You will have to call the page using http protocol, ie use

http://serverName/folderName/pageName.htm

even inside the LAN.

Eventhough this will solve problem hosted by u, it can bring up more errors, or a "No error-Not Working" situation that i am in. If its working over internet by doing this setting, i would like to ask u some settings on server, which can help me make my pages work. hoping for the best

Great help! It got me past the initial error but, as you said, it doesn't stop there. Now I am getting another error: "Internet database error"

A whole lot of info in that error. At least with the other, I had something to go on. I know that I have the MySQL server port (3306) open on my router and firewall and I can still get to it through other unchanged pages, so now I'm stumpped once again.

Thanks for the push in the right direction though.
