Dear All,

I've just built my first 5 Linux boxes with AS4 update 2. After the first it was plain sailing.
However the hardware is a Compact/HP dl380 with a HP DAT72 tape drive. Any idea what the device address is? or whether there are additional drivers I need to install to see it.

Unless there's other tape drives in there, it's probably /dev/st0.

No other tape drives and no /dev/st0.

Its possible that your device node has not been created. Maybe this will help.

found a solution on kbase.
This solution is for an internal tape drive on dl380, which is what I've got.

Go to
and search for
tape cciss
and click on the first result. Title starts:-
My HP server shipped with a tape drive connected...
