Hi people,

I've here my HP-UX workstation whith DAT in a SCSI interface, and it aways works fine. Lately, I don't know why... it doesn't work any more. Nothing has been modified. When I take SAM's control, in System Devices, all interfaces are "CLAIN" in status field, but my DAT is in "FAIL". How can I change this status? I've used the SCSI adress 3 to this one, and no other device is using this interface. I've checked cables... everything it's OK. It's possible make HP-UX recognize my DAT, maybe in other different SCSI adress, by itself?

Thank you veru much.

ioscan -fn will "re-probe" the HW. If your cable, drive, and SCSI address are all good, this might put the drive back into the CLAIMED state rather that the FAILED state. It could also take a reboot. I'd try the drive on another workstation if possible, just to make sure all is healthy with the HW.
