Dat 4160 problem 1

We quickly update to 4160 dat file to stop Nimba virus but the Netshield 4.5 stop works.

The virus definitions seems corrupted.
The engine is the last (4.1.40).

Anyone have problem with it ?

If you have V4.5.0 withOUT the service pack it won't work. You'll have to upgrade your engine with the SP1, so it will come to something like V4.5.0453?? W/SP Then you can update and protect yourself from the backwards admiN virus.

I did just that Chadda a while back and still cannot get it working. The 4140 engine, 4.5.1 mcafee with 4162dat would just freez on win95, win98.

any idea?

NetShield 4.5 was the product you're trying to update. THere's a SP1 available for this. If you don't update to SP1, there's going to be a chance for Nimda to still infect the server. The SP1 fixes that problem.

And also, NetShield doesn't show 4.5.0.435, only VirusScan does.
