I have set up the 3300 as follows for DASS2 using an nsu:

circuit descriptor
B end
digit insertion no
ISDN type DASS 2
Voice conversion ADI
Data conversion NIL

MSDN/DPNSS circuit descriptor
Signalling protocol DASS 2
Card Type Universal E1
Dual Seizure priority outgoing
Far End connection main PBX
(Thanks to Ian)

The nsu has downloaded it's software and the LED's are as follows:

card status green = on
card status yellow =off
card status red = on
ms = solid
st = flashing

I do not have anything connected at the moment so is this indication correct?
I dont have a dass tester and the customer wants no down time so i can't take any chances!

thanks

hello mate

the way i test with out a tester is to take a stright cat 5 cable and cut about 4 in above one of the ends then bare back the pairs and remove the outer layer of the white blues and the white oranges.

than twist together the white blue and the white orange and the twist together the blue white and the orange white.

then plug it into the back of the nsu if the light goes to solid green then the programing is ok

Hello,

If you type sh fa al in the maintenance window you should only get a couple of errors I.E no sync and the 30 channels you programmed should be unsiezeable. these are clear indications of the system just waiting to be plugged into the telco.

If you also type mess sub and locate your NSU PLID it shgould be open and active
