Hi,
I'm trying to access my mdb file by using DAO in VC++. But I received an error message saying that the format is unrecognised. So, I use db.create to create a new mdb file, and it works fine. But everytime I want to open that mdb file, the access will prompt me asking me to convert the file to the current version of Access which is Access 2000 in my system.

I get to know that the Microsoft Jet in Access 2000 is 4.0, but by using db.create can only create the dbVersion up to 3.0, so how to create a mdb file with Microsoft Jet 4.0 in VC++??

Thanks a lot.

There is a problem with the version of DAO which are you using. Use an other version. I think you have versions 3.5 and 3.6. Look in OLE viewer to see versions of DAO available on your computer.
