dameware error message 1

I have been trying to get to gris with dameware remote software, I can get this to work on the xp machines only. but when I try to install it I on any of the windows 98 or 95 pc's, I get system error 1722. What does this mean, and how can I get round it.

I think the remote software will only work on NT, 2K and XP machines.

In default configuration it only works for NT, 2000 and XP.
