Can anyone tell me why IE marks a file (ocx or dll) Damaged in the Downloaded Program files folder. Is it known to be corrupt? not registered correctly? registered and not really there?

Any info appreciated.

Kinda depends...(just the answer you wanted, right?)
Sometimes, yep...you've got a damaged or corrupted file. Uninstall and reinstall will correct it. Other times, like in the case of Java 1.4.1, it'll say damaged when there's not a thing wrong with it. (I suppose that's evidence of the love between M$oft and Sun?)
