A client is attempting to print some cheques, but is getting the following error:

Runtime - 2147467259 (80004005) Automation error unspecified error

Priority damaged data payment and adjustment batch Table APBTA not found.

There is also another error:

Performing an Integrity check dot not solve this problem.

What do the gurus suggest? Is the data damaged beyond repair?

Sorted it out...as the error message stated, "Table APBTA not found". Restored "APBTA" from backup and all is well. I figure it is a temp file created when printing cheques. Oh, well.

APBTA is NOT a temporary file, it contains the Payment and Adjustment batch list. Somebody on the network has been deleting files that they're not supposed to.
