daily TMP files

I am running Win 2000 server with NAV7.6CE

Every morning there is a large number (>100) of files in the WINNT/TEMP directory.The file size is 256K, the naming scheme is LBxxx.TMP and they were all created the previous night.They can not be deleted because the application is in use.However when the Norton Antivirus service is stopped and then restarted the files are then deleted.Any ideas ?
