LSP Site S8300c 5.1.2 had a server that failed, attended site with new server, installed software and latest patch and sync'd back up to main site all ok.

Save translations go accross ok and LSP mode was tested all ok

BUT

i cant log into the s8300c LSP via dadmin. (except when web browse to it)

If i go the main site, ssh accross to the lsp
login as dadmin then dadmin password i get the linux prompt

if i type sat or autosat

I am asked to enter a new pin, not matter what i put it says incorrect pin. the pin should be the same as the other sites, it pulled over all the dadmin username and password details but the pin side pof things is stopping me getting in.

Web Server works fine, infact everything work fine except when i try and login as per above.

Any thoughts

Hi Pal,

hope your good , if the LSP is sync`d can you not log into the icc and "reset pin dadmin" , save trans all and hopefully login?

guarente its not that simple though :)

i have tried that, logged on to the main server

change pin dadmin (set it same as it was before)
save trans all

all sync's ok
but again when i log into the LSP it prompts me to enter a new PIN every time and when i do it says its wrong..

Just found this quote does not ring true but may be worth a look

This is controlled by the RFA license and it is possible for LSP / ESS mid licenses in RFA to have the "dadmin" enabled in Mid 1 (the main) and not enabled in the other Mids. Verify this in each LSP / ESS with the command below. The symptoms of this trouble are being able to login to linux and the browser on the affected server, but not being able to authenticate with a PIN for CM access.

Enable 'dadmin' Login? y

There is 5 or 6 other LSP's all s8300 on same version with dadmin access from linus using sat to get in... just this 1 server that has been rebuilt.. I dont get the oppertunity to authenticate with the PIN because it keeps asking me to create one..

Im going to have a look at the license and see if i can see anything.

cheers mate, Anyone else

Nice catch Monty

Every LSP has a unique RFA license on cm4 and cm5.
Your LSP that is not working:

display system-parameters customer-options Page 4 of 11
OPTIONAL FEATURES

Enable 'dadmin' Login? n

Download and install a new license in the broken LSP with this enabled.

Main Site
Enable 'dadmin' Login? y

LSP Site
Is Sync'd so should have the above

I have downloaded and installed the license recently in order to get the LSP working are you saying i should recreated the LSP License for this unit??

I have just had a quick look on RFA and could not see where to to set this option up so i will have to come back to this.

In RFA open the features for the LSP and enable dadmin.
This will update the RFA record.

download a new license then install it on the broken LSP.

Licenses do not filesync.
The license controls what you see in the LSP SAT when you display system customer

You can have other mismatches between the main and LSP / ESS servers if you do not
always update all servers in the cluster after license RTU and features are changed in RFA
