I was wondering if there is anything special about the D6AP Power Cord? If so, what? Also, what is the pinout if anything different than a regular 4, or 6 pin cord? Thanks!

It is a 6 pin reversing cord. Pin 1 on one end is pin 6 on the other.

MOST 4 and 6 conductor cords reverse at the other end, whereas just about all 8 conductor cords are straight thru. The only true way to make sure you are using the right type is to check the cords on a new install for example : older printer sharing stuff used 4 conductor straight thru.

Not to mention it is KEYED !

Making it hard to create in the field.

Ok, how would this affect me if I was using this cord for an MFM? Is the 400B, or 400B2 adapter keyed as well?

Hi All,
The D6AP line cord plug is NOT keyed! It just has a long body. The only modular plugs that have a KEYED version available are the 8 position modular plugs. The only things special about the D6AP line cord are the long body plug, the round cord, and 28AWG conductors. It does not use tinsel cord for conductors.

You should not have any problems using it w/ MFMs or the adapters, etc.

Hope this helps!
