I'll try to make this as short as possible.
I have almost always owned an HP printer. I bought an Epson because I got a great deal on it. It made -great- photo prints, BUT the ink dried up between print jobs.
I live in New Mexico where it is very dry most of the year.
I can let my HP printer sit for months, then turn it on and it works without fail. I don't have to clean the print heads etc.
I want to buy a new printer.
I have been looking at the HPs that use individual ink cartridges. Specifically the D5460 and possibly the C7280.
I realize that the first uses the newer 564 cartridges, while the other one uses the older 02 cartridges. Is there any advantage to one over the other?
Also, I noticed in the store that these individual cartridge printers seem to feed the ink to a printhead rather than the 3 in one color cartridges which contain the printhead itself.
My question is:
Will the HP printers that use individual ink cartridges dry out like the Epson did?
Thanks for your help,
Chad
