Hello everyone!!
I dont seem to have the d3d8 header file for visual c++. I installed the directx sdk versions 8 and 9 and I still dont have it. Does anyone know where I can find it or would anyone be so kind as to send it to me? I have the dll file but not the d3d8.h file. It should be in this directory: C:\Program Files\Microsoft Visual Studio\VC98
I'd appreciate anyone's help.

in the DXSDK (DX8 INSTRALLED DIRECTORY ) there u can find them.then copy into the include and lib folder of vc6 .

I don't know if you actually searched for the file or not, but if the compiler is telling you that it doesn't exist, you have to also put the "d3d8.lib" file in your project settings under additional library files
