Plz some one tell me that where can i get the download for
d2kwutil.pll & d2kwutil.dll for forms-5 , as i've searched the developer CD as well on my machine in the installed folders. but couldnt get it. also i got one on the forms-6 cd but when i try using it in my forms-5 i get the error message.

In fact you don't need use installer. Just copy pll file to some directory listed in your FORMS50_PATH variable and dll - to one listed in your PATH variable.

i didnt even try installing it, the problem is that i couldnt find a copy of this file neither in my installed componenets nor on the CD,

and i wanted to know where else or on the web i can find this file.

Use one from Forms 6, it should work.

i copied d2kwutil.pll into oracle_home/toools/devdem20 (forms home)

then i copied d2kwut.dll into bin.

when i try attaching the pll file with my forms the message
" .../tools/devdem20/d2kwutil.pll contains a non-portable directory specification, remove path ? "

I can not understand your first line. Is oracle_home/toools/devdem20 listed in FORMS50_PATH or not? If yes, you may specify only file name while attaching a library.

sorry frend you might be feeling annoyances on giving me so many responses for the same thing and i'm still on the starting edge.

now the problem is that when i want to expand the package
the error

" PDE-REP006 Encoded program unit has an unknown format "
is returned.

** is it becos i'm using this file from V-6 into forms-5

You may open .pll from Forms 6, convert it to text (.pld) and then re-convert that file with Forms 5.
