D1232 super hybird + KX-TVA50

I am working with a customer who inherited a phone system in place. There is a KX-TVA50 connected to the phone system but it was not active. The phone system is working as needed but the customer would like the voicemail to work. After turning on the KX-TVA50 we get the green run light but we don't have the passwords to some mailboxes and some other mailboxes do not need a password. We can not get the voicemail to answer. The Panasonic system is a D1232. I have no experience with Panasonic systems and no documentation. Auto attendant is not needed. I'm looking for help on both systems. I think I have to program the phone system to forward calls to the voice mail system. I also think I need to start over on the voice mail system to set all the mailboxes to default passwords. Any help appreciated.

can you get in on to the voice mail with hyper terminal using baud rate 9600 bits 8 stop bits 1 and no parity or is there a admin password there

use a null serial lead

hyperterminal this is a tva?have you tried connecting withe maint console?

sorry, the USA new model is the tva, ours is the tvm, I was thinking of the tvp...........
