D-channel through Lan?

Does anyone know if it is possible to have a D-channel for a VNS network on the lan?
If it was possible to use for example Lantronix terminal server instead of leased lines it would be much more cost effective.

If anyone has an alternate solution I would be very happy to know.

Yes
Best option is to use spare serial port on Network routers.
I have D-channel running between two sites using cisco routers. Router interface has DCE cable attached. Network guys set up the serial tunnel (STUN).
