A question that is bothering me. When setting up a Meridian network using e.g. Q931 MCDN, It's normal practice to use the Meridian within the network that has the lowest Software version.
i.e. I could have 20 nodes of which 19 would be at Version 25 & 1 site which was at Version 21. The D Channel RLS setting would be set at 21. However if that site was upgraded to a Succession running Version 03.00, Should all of the other Nodes RLS be changed to "03" or should they be left unchanged & the new site have the RLS as 25?.
The problem is that Succession software is a follow on from Meridian Version 26 & therefore should we be really using "26" & not "03" as the RLS value!.
All the best
