hey guys,

very new to magix....

im having trouble with a PRI no calls in or out? i just replaced the DS1 module with another and still no luck. if i look at the system error log it gives me a "D channel" error. how do i find the "D channel"? can someone give me the steps?

thanks!

What is the exact alarm error code reported?

To print trunk and PRI info go to the Print Menu in SPM and you can select General Trunk information report, DS1 information report, or PRI information report. They can be saved to a file. Alarm error codes can be printed also.

You might want to post a print here so we can all take look and offer suggestions.

You need to program the PRI - for it to work - not just put in a DS1 module. There is a FAQ above that gives the typical programming steps you need to go through. You also need to know how the T1/PRI circuit is setup by the Telco.

hi guys,

thanks for all the help so far.

im guessing that when the system is set up for PRI, it puts the "D" channel as 24 by default.

we have a magix that has been working great for a couple of years and now all the sudden the PRI is not working. the only reason i asked about the "D" channel is because i saw that error in the log.

the PRI is a 23 channel PRI. all lines have been set up in the "B" group (1-23). i dont think its the magix. we have the CLEC on site doing some tests and checking things out. they say they are getting some errors from outside the building. so i think the problem lies with the CLEC.

just to make sure....am i right assuming that the "D" channel is put to channel 24 by default??

thanks again!

Yes - the D channel is automatically set as channel 24. From what you describe now - the problem looks to be with your provider.
