Is there anybode out there who has a d-channel between 2 different sites over a LAN/WAN connection?

I would like to try to do this with a terminalserver if possible..

Not enough info. Are you going to tie the terminal server to the M1 via T1 or what? T1s or ITG are the only way to do a DCH. Also you have to use probably a router with T1 interface type equipment to do this. Just not enough info.

Yes. We have it both ways. ITG Trunk and VoIP T1 gateway card on a router. Over Frame Relay is not advisable.

I use the VNS feature for 7 small sites. For this, all you need is an MSDL port for the d-ch in the Opt61/81 size switches & a SDI/DCH card in Opt11/mini size switches, plus a low speed data modem. You could also put this through a LAN

wdhb - yes, that is what I want. A d-channel from a sdi/dch card over lan to another site with the same equipment.

what lan equipment to use, settings etc..

actually, i haven't done a d-ch over a lan for about 7 years as the cost of the router cards is expensive & all mine are local area so the telco charges are small. the issue is that d-ch's are synchronous data, so you need a synchronous data serial interface card for your router at each end
