A user has for his job received a ms access database, very well secured. We can't link or import to tables. The data (Czech addresses) are visible in a form datasheet.
The user copy paste these data to his own ms access database. This works except that as there are many uncommon Czech characters, these are all presented as a little square.
Is someone familiar with this kind of problem (uncommon characters from foreign languages ?).
What do we need to do, install an additonal Character set in Windows ? Something with unicode ?

Regards.

We found a solution. If someone should discover a simular language problem.
1. MS Access editions are been translated to different languages. A Spanish Window run a Spanish edition MS Access.
2. If the Operating System support the character set or code page for a different language other then the OS
also no problem. English Windows support Dutch, Swedish, Italian, Spanish ...
3. The solution to our user problem was. The Character set Single-byte (256 characters support Czech, Spanish) was available but a font for special Czech characters was not.
You can download for free Czech fonts. Add these to C:/Windows/fonts.
