Dear Friends,

I have just started to make auction catalogue with Pagemaker 7.0 and I have all descriptions in Open Office writer. Wheter I place or just copy+paste the text to PM - all cyrillic text is only shown in mess with numbers and stuff.

Which is the safest font to use to make cyrillic text working and how could I get the text from Open Office to PM?

See this page in the Abobe PM sUpport KB: Cyrillic, Greek, Turkish, or Central European (CE) fonts don't print correctly (PageMaker 7.x on Windows)

Basic PM is old, and can only see the first 256 characters of a font, which means very limited use of opentype fonts.

Your best bet is to find an old Cyrillic Truetype or Type1 font.

The way forward is to forget PM and move onto InDesign.
