cybernetics storage

Has anyone had any experience with Cybernetics as a storage/backup solution? Pros? Cons?

There is a very big lack of compatibility between then and the major backup software vendors. Although Cybernetics state that their VTL is supported by major vendors, the vendors have not qualified them and will not support you on it.

We have a Cybernetics HSTC 1208 Disk to Disk (1.5TB) backup unit (no tape)in production for almost 2 years now. Very good backup solution.

Pros
* Reliable
* Tech Support is great
* Easy to setup/configure
* Fast backup solution
Cons
* Expensive depending on budget
* Netvault Backup software not that user friendly
in my opinon (I'm more a Veritas BackupExec person).
If I had to do over I would choose ArcServe
* No real webpage to speak of.
* Make sure all the servers you backup have gigabit cards
and you are backing up over a gigabit switch.
