Hi I am wondering if you can tell me where I can get
nslookup <ip-address> from please? Also how do I run this program? Is it on line or is it a download and thanks heaps in return for your help.:->

For resolving names to IP address in a Windows environment (NetBIOS).

Without it you either need to use LMHOSTS file(s) which you need to maintain (WINS dynamically updates as machines register with the WINS server at boot etc). Or names are resolved via broadcast - which takes up network bandwidth (and has bigger implications in WAN environments where broadcasts are usually blocked between remote nodes).
