Hi Guys,

Does anyone know if I can use either the Relay or PA Relay contacts output to operate a door entry system. If so how do you operate the relay, for the external paging/loadspeaker the feature code suggestion is **9 and setting the COS to allow paging all zones, I've done that but I cant dial the code, I get a "Not Allowed" which looks like COS, have I missed something in the COS or am I looking to achieve soemthing that cant be done?

Thanks in advance

Steve

You do't say what controller but I assume it's a 3300. The Relay is not used (reserved for future use). You need to do the following programming. I think you missed the E&M setting:
Programming

Loudspeaker Paging is provided through the Paging port on the Universal ASU, Analog Main Board, or Analog Options Board. This Loudspeaker Paging port emulates E&M paging. A Loudspeaker Pager (amplifier) connects to this port.
For E&M type paging, program the Zone Number and Interconnect Number in the Loudspeaker Paging Assignment form. In multiple-zone systems, all-zone paging must be designated 00 whether all-zone paging is enabled or not.
Ensure that the station is not restricted from Paging in the Interconnect Restriction Table.
Enable Pager Access All Zones and/or Pager Access Individual Zones in the Class of Service Options Assignment form.
If you intend to use a feature access code in Operation, assign a code to Loudspeaker Paging in the Feature Access Code Assignment form.
If you intend to use a feature key in Operation, program a Paging key in the Multiline Set Key Assignment form or use Superkey (see Feature Keys for more information on Superkey programming).

Let me guess, you're dialing the code with the handset in the cradle.

Must lift handset for loudspeaker page.

Thanks for that guys, I've missed out the programming of the E&M Programming bits, I tried with h/set on and off but obviously neither would work without the programming done.

Once again many thanks I'll give it a whirl today.
