CWCs for outbound

For an outbound dialling campaign is it possible to use CWCs. I understand how they are used for skills but using them for outbound is something I haven't done before. If anyone has reference advise or reference material then I'd appreciate it

CWC's can only be used for incomming ACD calls

Avaya had a out bound application a couple of years ago, but they only sold 3 of them, so as far as I have heard, they don't currently offer a outbound application. Other vendors use the Avaya pbx for outbound though.
