I am editing a Halo movie, and we often play split screen. I don't want to show both players playing at the same time and when I go on the internet to watch Halo videos they only have one of those screens showing. Does anyone know how to cut out one and leave the other? Thank you.

Several ways. Probably the easiest is to use a Garbage Matte. Exact method varies between Premiere versions, but it is covered in the on-line help.

Where exactly do I go for this online help?

By the way...I've got Premiere 6.5

On line help is available, like in many other programs, by pressing F1 or looking under the HELP menu.

If you have a legal copy, you should also have a printed manual.

Look up Garbage Matte in either.
