Any bright sparks know how to cut and paste GEDI screens using DSA? I want to keep a record of all the switch settings in Word before we go ahead with an upgrade from G3siV6 to R10. Does anyone know also if the upgrade of hardware/software has any impact on the previous configurations for users/lines?

Thanks

I just paste the whole screen into word or wordpad. To copy the screen (windows 9x, 2000) I use Alt + PrtScrn to get the image into the windows clipboard and then Ctrl + V to paste it into wordpad.

Thanks bash

As I have so many screens to copy. In the trunk group forms there are 10 so pages I need something where I can export all the data either in field format or page format.
There is export options for certain types of data in DSA but not for everything. For example, displaying the customer options there are about 8 pages. I'm surpised there isn't something available within DSA itself for this.

Try right clicking in the screen area and select output to text. Hope this helps

Thanks
Chris

Hi,

You may use terrenova (DSA older version) for this. You will need to copy and paste text contents only.
If you want it, just ask.

ok with DSA in GEDI mode if I right click on the 'disp sys cust' nothing happens -no options. If I use Terranova with the same command it brings up the screen but I can't highlight the text and copy it. The probably something very simple I'm not doing but I can't work it out.

When I need to document my switch settings, I use the report feature of DSA. If you're not familiar with this feature, it's under the "Advanced" tab on the left side of the screen. You can either send reports to the printer or to a file. I like to use my PC's locally attached printer because DSA automatically formats three screens per page of printer paper which is a nice way to save paper on those multi-screen forms.

Thanks!
Just what I needed. This will help a lot.
