Hi,
really simple question...I have a field of information in one table, and I’d like to cut it out of that table and paste it in a different table. What’s the easiest way to do this?

Thanks,
sarajini

does the information you're pasting need to match up to a column of data already present in the other table?
if not, a simple way to do this is to create a new query, choose the table you want to paste from, select the field you need to paste, and go to Query - Make-table Query, give it a name and then execute the query.

i hope this helps you.

I assume you mean you want to copy the field definition from one table design to another.

Simply open the source table in Design View, click the row selector to the left of the desired field name, and copy it with the menu or toolbar. Then open the destination table in Design View, click the row selector of the field before which you want to insert the column, press the Insert key to insert a blank row, and then Paste from the menu or toolbar.
