We cut over to Modular MEssaging from Audix yesterday. All station programming has been update for LWC Reception = spe and MWI Served User Type = qsig-mwi.
We're getting complaints from users of lamps not going out or not lighting up with new messages. They claim they've retrieved voicemail messages from both systems.
Does anything need to be done to kick-start this?

It may be that the light is on from Audix and now that the LWC is changed on the set side that it can't turn it out.

Are you getting any errors in the app log of the MAS ?

No luck. Avaya thinks the MWI database isn't updating properly so they broke it down and now it won't rebuild. Looks like we need to rebuild MWI in our MAS server.

bseymour,

This may be too late at this point but have you tried manually setting and resetting MWI on a phone using the PBX LWC feature access code? Also, you can use the mwiview utility to view the state of MWI (on or off) for all your mailboxes. C:\Avay_Support\Tools\mwiview.

As Ken noted, the OHV is an excellent tool to trace calls through the messaging system in real time.

Regards,

Seezer
