Cut & Paste (without importing all the junk)

Hello, I have a question for you guys. Is it possible to cut & paste from one drawing to the next without bringing in all the layers and blocks and stuff to the new drawing.

If I get a drawing from a company, what we do is cut & paste on to our drawing-template, but it brings all the layers and blocks and stuff from the other company's drawing....is there a way to avoid this ???

Hi Rod,

The only way to avoid this is clean and purge the incoming drawing first. Change all the art work to layer zero, explode all your blocks, and then cut and paste.
