cut out person in image

Hi

I have a person I want to cut out of a picture, does anyone know of a tutorial off how to do that, in photoshop.

The idea beinf that I will use that cut out ro replace a image in a Flash movie...

So I need to have a tranparent background, and no white edges to the cut i get form the originally picture.

any help would be greatly appreciated...

Visit the "Adobe Expert Center" they have a number of good Photoshop tutorial, check out the tutorials on masks. You need to register for access but registration is free. The thing to keep in mind when trying to cut out the person is there are many ways to do this and there is no right way just different ways.

If you want to use the pen tool but are not sure how then go to

make a screen shot and open it in photoshop then pratice tracing the shape, very easy when you get the hang of it.
