I bought and connected a Mac (OS X panther) and a PC (XP Home) to a D-link D1-604 router

now, after a few days, my PC signal goes off a lot, so I have to reboot for it to re log in!!

Wereas my Mac OS X panther has no cut off problems?

My XP home specs

PC chips mobo-M787CL+
CPU-VIA Samuel 2
733 MHz
512mb ram
Video Card: SiS 300/305/630/540/730
Network Card: SiS 900 PCI Fast Ethernet Adapter
microsoft Windows XP Home Edition
Service Pack: Service Pack 1

try switching slots on the NIC, replacing the NIC, or updating the drivers.

cant, only one LAN ethernet out,its built into mobo, only solution is rebooting-i notice XP lan status shows it sconnected, but i cannot surf pages ,so not really on

also PC freezes up sometimes,

If you have a slot open try putting in a PCI NIC and disabling the onboard in the BIOS.

not router,as keeps freezin up,low resources errors-must force shut down-reboot

its gotta be HD or XP,(recently reduced many XP services ,to speed it up,now i need to reinstall XP over it,how is that done without erasing data?
