Customizing report description when sending via email using simialr to %SI_STARTTIME%

Currently using CE9.0 sending the reports out via email and wish to customise the .pdf name with a date.

In the Destination Tab you can either select Default File Name or Specified File Name.

I wish to specify Name / Date / extension - so when the file gets delivered by email then it should appear like ReportA.03.09.2004.pdf

I know that I need to use %SI_NAME% for the name and .%EXT% for the extension but what about Date only?

I have tried the %SI_STARTTIME% but this gives Date and Time - I would like to show the date of the data in the report.

THX in advance.

This was asked in thread782-932895. The answer, unfortunately, was you-can't-do-that.

Thank you, I looked for an answer, but apparently didn't look hard enough.

So to clarify, I am unable to specify my own file name, period? (using a formula from that report for example to be embedded in the filename)

Thanks again!

You can write your own naming logic by using the CE SDK.

It would be almost trivial to enter a dynamic filename using current date at schedule time. But would it be possible to set up a recurring schedule where the filename picks up the date at runtime?
