I was wondering if there is a way to do a find and replace of all tables, forms, etc.

I am using the events template database but I have to use an existing table (I linked it). I can NOT change anything on the table (i.e. names of fields, etc)

I'm running into problems getting the template to work. I think the problem is that I have not found all of the field names I need to change.

Example: the template uses 'attendeeID' and my existing table uses 'addressID' as field names.

I would like to be able to do a search and replace of all tables, forms, queries, command buttons, macros etc to see if I have found all the places I need to change.

Thanks for your time and help.

Thank you

Unfortunately when I tried to download the 2003 tools I get an error telling me the file/directory is corrupt.

I tried the 2000 and I can download, but alias, after adding it in I did not get any hits. I'm sure I'm not doing something right. I'm kinda new to Access programming. I'll keep plugging at it.

Thanks again

An update!!!!!

I got it to work!!!!!! Thank you so much. This is great..... Now I can WOW my boss.

Thanks

Sharon

It is an addin for Access.
You will find in
TOOLS > ADDIN >....
It has a lot of functionalities.... Play it with a demo database and see the result then use it in your db.

I think the Search and Replace will do exactly what I need and want. Thanks. Do you know if the 2000 download will work in a 2003 database. I have not been able to download the 2003 file.

Thanks again for this great site. I can't wait to check out the other things.

It should work... or try the 2002 version.
I can't test it now as I am far from my test pc.
