customizing search of SPS 2003

Hi,

I have customized search function of SPS 2003 and It finds what i want (.doc files). the name of files were displayed as a normal link.

my problem is when i click the links (.doc files) thay were opened in my browser. I want that thay were opened directly in MS Word. How must i fix it?

Hi,

Try and check in Tools, Folder Options and filtypes on the clients where word files are opened up in the browser. This is a quite common "problem". You should be able to change these settings so that it opens up in your word application instead.
