How do I customize the text in a graph legend?

By changing the group field to a formula. Or by using specified order grouping to name the groups. Ken Hamady

Ken - I've been stuck with this as well - and tried creating formulas with no luck when my legend says things like "Sum of Orders.Profit". I shudder to admit this, but I've resorted to putting textboxes on top of the legend. You make it sound so easy in your answer - what am I missing?

My technique only works for group charts (where the bar is linked to groupings in the report). If you are doing an advanced or detailed chart, you have no way of changing the legend. These charts allow you to chart totals that are "side by side" in the report, like 2 grand totals. You would have to shut off the legend and create your own. Describe the report and I will tell you if you can switch to a group chart. Ken Hamady

That's what I thought, Ken - I misunderstood your answer. It's detail reports that I've been trying to change, using the text boxes..... I guess text boxes is the answer (ouch!!)

Thanks!
