customizing dw formatting

I'm really frustrated with all of the <p></p> tags! Why can't it put in a <br> instead? Is there a way to change this in the program?

I don't know why you would want to change it but you can always use the "search" and "replace" commands on the html if you really want to substitute one for the other.

If you want &lt;br&gt; from the start while you're typing, have you tried the keystroke: &lt;shift&gt;+&lt;return&gt;<br>
