Customizing ArcServe 2000 Log

I am currently running ArcServe 2000 and wanted to know if there was a way to customize the Job log to include extra information. I have my jobs set to e-mail me after they are finished with the Job log attached. Unfortunately, the atttached log does not include a description of the Job. I get 12 logs each night and would like to programmatically parse them so I can view an overall summary which would include the job description. It also does not include an overall Job start time/date at the top of the log which would be useful for programmatically parsing the log.

Hi Bob,

Ensure that your job log is set to include full details. You can check this under the Arcserve Server Admin. Click on the word Admin, then select Configuration. Choose the Job tab and check the "Message type in Activity Log" option settings. you should have this set to "Notes, Warnings, and Errors". I believe that should populate the log properly for you.
