I have an XP Access app that I've just upsized into 2010. The toolbars and right-click menus, are causing me grief.

I've used XML so as to remove the 'Home' tab. I've also set it so that it retains and renames the 'Add-Ins' tab. I've also disabled access to the 'Access Options' area from the 'File' tab.

The problem is that users could still get to the 'Access Options' dialog via a right click menu on the 'Add-Ins' tab: Right click, 'Customize the Ribbon' etc.

Does anyone know if it's possible to disable this 'Customize the Ribbon' option?

I cant use:

<ribbon startFromScratch="true">

as I need to retain access to the 'Add-Ins' tab.

Any help appreciated.

For anyone that's interested, I was able to use the XML below, which disabled the 'Customize The Ribbon' option in the right-click menu, plus retained the 'Add-Ins' tab that I needed:

<customUI xmlns=" <ribbon startFromScratch="true">
<tabs>
<tab idMso="TabAddIns" visible="true" />
<tab idMso="TabAddIns" label="MyTabName" />
</tabs>
</ribbon>
<backstage>
<button idMso="ApplicationOptionsDialog" visible="false"/>
</backstage>
</customUI>

Hope it helps!
